What is PBIS?
PBIS is an evidence-based Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports framework that celebrates consistent positive behaviors and provides interventions to those students in need.
PBIS is centered on three core values that our school has established:
Respect
Treat others with kindness, be polite, and take pride in yourself.
Responsibility
Follow directions and own your words and actions.
Perseverance
Work hard and be prepared to learn with a positive attitude.
Incentives and Rewards
Tickets are awarded to students that demonstrate exceptional respect, responsibility, and perseverance.
Students purchase rewards and engaging experiences from the JVES Kangaroo Cart using the Kangaroo Cash they earn.
In addition to Kangaroo Cash, students may also be awarded Positive Referrals for consistent demonstration of JVES' core values.
